January Monthly Meeting

We will be joined by Chief Nardelli of Brockton Fire Department to speak about the 2023 Brockton Hospital Evacuation in 2023. Following an electrical transformer fire, firefighters and staff were able to evacuate all 160 patients from the building without injury or death. Chief Nardelli will speak on the resources involved in the 10 alarm response, as well as lessons learned from the incident. 

RIAEM will be reimbursing for members for parking with a receipt emailed to treasurer Ray Laprad at raylaprad@hotmail.com. 

Attendees will have two options for parking: 

1. Pay to park in the Rhode Island Hospital Plain Street Lot cost estimated $5-7. Walking distance to hospital, costs will be reimbursed
2. Remote employee lot at 775 Eddy Street (map to follow)  free parking with a free hospital shuttle to and from the hospital. Plan on an additional 5-10 minutes travel time.

Due to increased levels of respiratory illness, MASKING IS REQUIRED during the meeting.
